During the opening of the academic year, on September 5th, it was announced that Emily Strange has won the Leiden teaching prize. This annual prize is awarded to the best lecturer of the year, following a voting round for students. The jury was impressed: ‘With an enormous passion for her subject and her engaging personality, she motivates her students and shares her knowledge with them.’
Strange was delighted with the prize. ‘This award means so much to me because it comes from the students themselves.’
