RISE Event: Meet the Confidential Counsellor

We would like to invite you for the following event;

On December 20th 2022 between 14.30-15.30, we have invited Marije Bedaux who is confidential counsellor for personnel affairs of Leiden University. What can a confidential counsellor do for you? It’s already in the name. Everything you tell a confidential counsellor is confidential. In fact, a confidential counsellor is even liable if they breach their duty of secrecy and confidentiality. Considering all the recent reports in Dutch media of unacceptable behaviour, more attention than ever is being paid to the role of the confidential counsellor within organisations. But what do we actually know about this position, and what can it do for you?

We asked Marije Bedaux to meet with the RISE members. You are invited to come up with questions to her on her tasks. In the first 15 minutes of the meeting we lump the questions and then Marije will have a dialogue with us guided by the questions. Note; you can come up will all questions and we do not need to discuss cases in detail. With this we hope to create awareness and hope that the path to follow when you have questions is more open.
