On January 31 2020, Elizabeth de Lange, Professor of Predictive Pharmacology at the Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research has received an Honorary Doctorate from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Uppsala University. During the Uppsala Winter Conferment Ceremony, De Lange has received three symbols of honour: a hat or laurel wreath, a diploma, and a ring, honouring her for her outstanding scientific contributions in the field of pharmacology.
Previous Leiden Honorary Doctors of the Faculty of Pharmacy are Douwe Breimer (1992), former Rector Magnificus of Leiden University and Rob Verpoorte (2012).
