Research by group of Prof.dr. Martina Vijver, Professor of Ecotoxicology at the Center for Environmental Sciences leads to ban on the pesticide thiacloprid. The European Commission has introduced a European ban on the commonly used pesticide thiacloprid, Trouw reports on Monday 13 January. According to the committee, the pesticide entails risks to the environment and to health.
